Not holding up in high traffic areas

We love the colors, texture, height and pattern of our Stainmaster carpet but are extremely disappointed in how it is holding up in high traffic areas. It is showing lots of wear. Unfortunately, much to our dismay, we only recently found out that we voided the manufacturers warranty by not having it professionally cleaned and maintaining those records. Its like a sponge. Takes weeks to dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has no resistance to liquid or animal feces. Everything soaks deep into the fibers making it difficult and impossible to get it truly clean. It takes weeks to dry leaving it mildewy and smelly. It is beautiful to look at and feels great on the feet. I had to buy a cheap vacuum because my dyson is so difficult to push due to the suction to the deep fibers but, not a deal breaker. Our roomba is able to work but, does not to pick up as well...

Disappointed with stain removal

Purchased on 4/24 and installed on 5/19. Cat vomit on day 6 and then on day 8. We purchased TruSoft in a light color - Stainmaster's cleaning instructions (soap / water mix, cold water rinse and subsequent vinegar / water mix until stain no longer existed or cannot lift the stain into white rag) did not remove the stains. Had to have a professional cleaner come in with powerful enzymatic cleaner to remove / lift stains. Disappointed - we purchased a good nylon carpet that you can't lift the stai...

Love the look

We love the look of this carpet but it does not clean up easily at all. We have had it for a year and a half, are very careful on the carpet (don't allow shoes, etc) and have had it professionally cleaned 3 times. The stains do not come up. Also, be really careful choosing someone to install it. The way the lines run don't look great if it is not lined up perfectly, and the seam in our master bedroom is very noticeable and puckers a bit.

Generally Pleased so far

The carpet truly does resist staining as we have found on at least three occasions to date. Changed the feeling and look of the whole house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We desperately needed new carpet in all the main living areas of our home. With 5 children and a dog out old carpet was so worn. We have love the new stainmaster carpet that we have put in our home. As year later with all the traffic wear and tear that continues to occur the carpet still looks new. The times that we have needed to spot clean it, whatever was marking the mark in the carpet has come out and cleaned well.

So far, it's great!

I've had this carpet for a little over a year. It hasn't been through any major spills yet but a couple of minor ones cleaned up very easily and left no stain. I've had lots of comments about its appearance and especially how soft it is, like, "this is the softest carpet I've ever felt!". (I did not care for the flooring company I purchased it from. Carpet review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and feel of the carpet, but I’m not as pleased with upkeep. I am extremely careful with spills and stains, and attend to them immediately. I have tried many different cleaning options, but can not get some of the stains out. Since it’s a fairly new carpet, and there are noticeable spots, I am worried what it’s going to look like in a few short years.

Stains due not come out

We have had several different stainmaster carpet in different homes for some reason this carpet we currently have that is Barely 3 years old has not worn well with only my wife and myself and being a brand new home along with using a very good vacuum it’s kind of disappointing are previous carpet lasted more then 10 years and looked brand new
