It sounded like it was bogging down, but again, I was putting next to no pressure on the sander, letting the tool do the work it was designed to do. Stay away
The drive belt snapped after a week of use. Your warranty procedure is totally unacceptable. Drive 12 miles and wait two weeks for repair. Will not be purchasing another Skil product, sorry I purchased this one.

The frustrations not worth the money
With no pressure on the top of the sander, using one hand and only letting it glide across the wood, the pressure control red light comes on while in use. I just bought it today and with in a few minutes of use, just gliding over a rough spot causes this to happen. I actually have to lift up on the front handle to keep the light from coming on.
