Odd size
The saw is a step up from the 1/4" blade saw that we had, and it is quiet and smooth. However, the 67.4" x 3/8" blade is impossible to find replacements for. Lowes does not sell any, and only 2 of 3 industrial suppliers sell the blade (6 TPI). If you want a variety of pitch in a band, stay with 1/4" or go to 1/2" in a bigger saw. Shame on Lowes for selling a saw but not the blades.
Great budget saw
This is my first band saw, and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg as I won't be using it that frequently. There wasn't all that much to assemble out of the box, and I followed the included setup instructions. I checked the table with a square and made minor adjustments to the blade tension, etc. After that it was ready to go. A good step up from economy 9” saws.
Heavier duty than most 9” saws, quite and smooth. Pay attention to the table movement, you really have to crank down on the locking knobs. Blades are a little less common.

Packaging/Parts fell off minor issues
The packaging was very weak/broken up. Parts came off of the machine. I had to figure out where they came from. These were not the parts in the bag with the instructions to install. Other than that, this is a great product and i am happy with it.

When I first unboxed I was disappointed because I mistakenly thought it was supposed to have bearing blade guides. After re-reading the specs I found my mistake. The guide pins do adjust easily and the saw runs very quietly. It cuts without any drift. I bought it for the extra height over 9” saws and it is as advertised. It’s the best saw you will get for under $225.

i like lows but not if using fedex as delivery.
it is exactly the right size for my smaller projects where my floor model was a bit big for small projects.
