Solar Suitcase controller upgrade
I purchased this controller to upgrade (to MPPT) the Voyager controller that came with my 200w Solar Suitcase. Be advised that this unit is wider than the Voyager and does not fit in the suitcase. The suitcase won’t close because of the width. And the Li version is even wider. Not sure why Renogy didn't design the Rover to be a replacement. Even the screw size and hole placement is different. They dropped the ball on this one.

Be sure to connect battery (load) before solar pnl
This solarcharge controller performs as adverised. Mostly easy to setup and operate. Instruction maual is well written. Could have additional information and details. I like the easy positive termination connections. The heat sink is great.

Charging RV Batteries in the Far North
Using it on a 29 ft Travel Trailer rv trip in Alaska with DIY 24V solar suitcase. Went with portables because sun is low in the horizon in morning and afternoon and I wanted to maximize charging each day. Kept our batteries charged for 9 days of dry camping in Seward, rain or shine, without skimping. Renogy Elite 20A MPPT Charge Controller is super easy to setup, use and works flawlessly.

use on my sailboat
this unit is used for all charging of electric batteries. lighting, cell phone charging and other little accessories and use with a 20 watt panel, so far i have no power issues and use the sailboat on weekends for camping out someplace. it was easy to install i installed the entire system new and everything just slide right into place. the unit is easy to read program and looks like its there to do its job for a long time, very stout. cant compare to anything else as i never had any other unit b...
