Charging problems
The inverter supplies power. That is fine.... I can never find the right settings to charge the batteries either through solar or utility grid power. Wheni use the app it says not charging and the mode is always on hybrid no matter what mode i select

Constantly lowers PV input voltage to 60 volts
I have tried to get support at Renogy, and they have discontinued email contact, and you must open a ticket using more information (you need proof of purchase, etc.) to find out what is going on. I have to disconnect the PV array daily to get the input back over 60 volts and enough amps to charge our 48 volt battery bank. Within hours it ramps the input back to 60 volt and 1 or 2 amps input and our batteries are still at half charge. I also concur that the connection blocks for the PV input wi...
Excellent item - Except for the PV inputs.
We upgraded to this from a 12v system, took it out the desert, and was epic. Ran great, worked well. Liked it so much we got a second for a solar power trailer build. Issues: - The PV inputs are on a terminal block that is undersized. We are upgrading to 535w panels which NEC says system is 50A in and that's 8AWG cables to the charger. We had a hard time getting 10AWG cables to fit and not sure how we will connect the larger gauge wire without changing out the internal block. This system is 9...

Awesome product
This product is amazing. I paired it with 4 200ah ham batteries and 4 residential panels for an off grid solution for my trailer. It works seamlessly and will even run a 15k ac unit. Love it and haven’t used my generator for a month.

Great for small system
Thee only thing I did not catch was that does not have a battery temp sensor and low temp charging cutoff. A bummer if you have older or cheaper lithium batteries without that feature built in.

I am very happy with my 48v inverter/charger. It sits in front of 16, 200ah RENOGY gel batteries and powers our cabin nicely.

Uses the utility and solar at the same time.
Must point out that this inverter will use every watt of solar available, whenever it is available. For example: Load is 1500W. Solar is say, 700W. The 700W is subtracted from the 1500W utility. So you’re only using 800W utility power. If you have more solar at any time, the inverter goes with the solar and turns off the utility. It goes like this all day going back and forth. Set parameter #1 to “Sol”.
