Not a Deterrent
Lost the keys to my hitch lock and came online to at least see what brand it was. Saw the picture here and was thinking that with the picture including the key I'd be able to at least know what kind of key I was looking for. In reading the reviews I learned how to get the hitch off WITHOUT the key! My husband chuckled as I walked purposefully through the yard with my hammer in my hands. Laughable "security" measure
The yellow part is made of cheap pot metal and can be broken with one blow of a hammer. The lock cylinder is held in by a simple pin which fell out and had to be tapped back in. The lock itself wouldn't turn after a year or so in the elements and finally disintegrated internally- tumblers appear to be made of soft zinc alloy. All in all, a piece of junk. Don't buy.
Useless
I had this on my trailer thinking it provided real security. A thief used a simple claw hammer and hit in once. The key cylinder popped out and the loop fell off. Because of the paint I had thought the ball was forged as part of the main body but it popped off too. It was just a pot metal ball stuck on a pin.
