What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these wire nuts for reliable waterproof performance in outdoor irrigation systems. The pre-filled silicone gel effectively seals connections against moisture and corrosion, making them ideal for sprinkler systems and buried wiring. Most appreciate the convenient pre-greased design that eliminates messy separate sealants and allows quick installation. However, several reviewers emphasize the importance of pre-twisting stripped wires before application to ensure secure connections, noting that skipping this step can result in loose fittings. A few mention minor issues like gel messiness or tight sizing, but overall customers find them highly reliable for long-term outdoor use.

Doesn't work on 2 or even 4 18 AWG wires
Didn't grab with 2 18 AWG wires (1 solenoid stranded appears to be aluminum with 1 solid copper) nor with 4 18 AWG wires (4 solenoid stranded appears to be aluminum wires). The solid copper is in 5 - 18 (5 wire, 18 AWG) underground sprinkler wire bought from Lowes -- but per my wire stripper, the individual wires appear to be 20 - 22 AWG. The Wire Connectors just appear to be to large in diameter for this purpose.
