I have wasps and/or hornets near my back door, frequently hovering in front of my Nest doorbell (thinks it's a person) so I put two traps nearby, one 9' away, shady until late afternoon, one gets morning sun only. I have zero catches after following directions to a T.

I purchased this trap through Amazon and assembled it per directions. It has been hanging now for a week over my milkweed plants where the wasps love to troll for monarch caterpillars. Not one wasp has been captured and not a single wasp has been seen investigating the trap. I’m sorry I wasted the money. I should note that the trap has caught many gnats and one moth.

Amazing results! Even in the wrong trap.

The WHY (Wasp Hornet Yellowjacket) brand has attracted and caught more than any other brand that I have tried. I have learned to set wasp traps in spring to reduce the population in fall, when wasps are more aggressive. I actually bought this refill for the wrong trap. The refill contains 2 types of bait, a small pouch with liquid that you put on a felt pad (included in the WHY brand trap) and a larger pouch that you put in a trap and add water and a couple drops of dish soap to.
