Solid, but Beware

Be sure to dry fit the post to the mounting bracket before pouring concrete to ensure your mailbox will be straight. The screw holes you use to mount the bracket are "x" shaped, not top, bottom, left, and right like I assumed. The instructions do not provide this warning I am hoping this helps!

I did repaint my post and base a bright blue color, very smooth and takes the new primer & paint easily. I also drilled new holes and then added horizontal steel rebar posts at the base to provide extra grip once set into the concrete. There's a large sleeve used to decorate the base once it's set in concrete and it's a good looking addition. I had purchased a custom made mailbox manufactured in Cyprus, Greece and had no problem fitting that oddball box to the upper post shelf. Lightweight post ...

I like that this is aluminum so it shouldn’t rust and it isn’t plastic which I’m trying to get away from. This is good quality for the price and should last for as long as I need it to.

It works well, is simple to install. I really liked that it came with a cracked and you didn’t need to buy one separately. The only improvement would be its kind of a pain to bolt it all together.
