Shipping Details

Bloomerang Dark Purple displays very large dark purple buds emerging in mid to late spring. They open to a classic deep purple-lilac color and perfume the air for weeks. The plant then takes a brief rest to create new growth before it starts to bloom again in mid to late summer, continuing through frost. It is noted for its exceptional disease resistance while attracting butterflies and resisting deer. The neat, rounded shape looks good in the landscape or garden, and is a great choice for foundation plantings.

4-6 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide at maturity
Hardy in zones 3-7, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
Space plants 4-6 feet apart for best results
Produces dark purple buds in late spring that take a brief rest and reappear from summer through frost
Great for containers, landscapes, foundation plantings, mixed borders
Fragrant flowers, continuous blooming, disease resistant, resists deer, attracts butterflies
1 Gallon shrubs are 6-24 inches tall and about 1-year old at shipment, varies by season and plant
Shrubs shipped from November through April will arrive dormant; shrubs shipped April through October will arrive green or in bloom

What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the lilac plants' vibrant green foliage, robust health, and excellent condition upon arrival. Most highlight lush leaves, intact branches, and moist soil that enabled immediate root establishment and vigorous growth after transplanting. Many express excitement about future blooms, viewing the strong plant foundation as a promising indicator of success. A few note the plants arrived smaller than expected or experienced wilting after planting, but these concerns are minimal compared to widespread satisfaction with plant quality and overall condition.
