Great Ventilation Fan

This Project Source Ventilation Fan is a great product. It has a sleek, slim design and fits snugly against the ceiling. It is large enough to ventilate the bathroom without being intrusive. It also heats the space quickly without being too loud. Overall, it is a great value for the price!

Doublely, disappointed.

I selected this product to replace an existing unit on my first floor bathroom. Unfortunately, I had limited information when I selected the product, so it was not what I expected, or what was pictured. When I received the product, I knew there might be an issue with using as a replacement. Access is required above the unit to be able to install it. Well made durable product!

Well-made product. The instructions were very easy to follow. The unit is designed so that you can wire it in multiple configurations, such as one, two, or even three switches. The support brackets can be easily adjusted for any width needed. The light is bright and the motor is powerful but not loud.

Not a great upgrade choice

I do not recommend this if you are upgrading your existing bathroom ventilation fan. It's a nice product for new construction, but for upgrades, be aware that the manual says you need a dedicated 15 amp circuit (just for this unit) and you should not mount it next to a ceiling joist. It is very likely that any existing vent fan is mounted directly to a joist, so to follow the recommended method, you will have to patch the ceiling and cut a completely new hole. Make sure you have adequate space for the installation .

Definitely a nice fan/heater/combo. But looks nothing like the Project source photo. That being said, my opinion is that this fan is best suited for a new construction or total renovation. Trying to fit this unit into a ceiling that’s already in place requires alterations that I could not accomplish at this time. If your ceiling is open with no rock installed this product would install easily. Wiring would be simple enough for a DIY’r.

Very functional

A really nice combo of functionalities at the same products. It’s fan, light, and also heater (although don’t expect much from the “heater” function. Just enough to keep the space warm. Very easy to install but you will need to make a than a cut in the ceiling to insert the housing. If you know basic diy skills, this should be a very easy install. It’s not heavy and comes with two braces for secure installation. A plus, it looks really cool and fancy. All in, I recommend it.

Overall Satisfied!

The install was fairly easy and simple to follow. The only issue was the cover for the electrical on the back of the unit. The screw to close it shut needs to be in an easier position to get to when wiring is installed. That is why a 4-star rating. Other than that great unit and very quiet function. It exhausts well and heats well.

New construction install

This was not what I expected to receive for review, this installment will need attic access, or new construction. We tried every way possible to install without going in the attic but we had to go up twice, installed like it said flush with sheet rock, and the screw was too short to connect the cover. Works and looks awesome!

Hook up was straight forward and easy to get it running but for me I didn't do the cliche "measure twice cut once" so I had to take it down and cut some wood out of the ceiling then keep doing cuts to get it to fit after that fits great looks great works awesome highly recommended!

Very quiet!!

This exhaust fan is bigger than a standard size so I did have to cut the hole a little larger to replace the existing fan. You will need two switches for wiring, one switch for the light and fan and one switch for the heater. You could also adapt it to three switches and put one switch to control each if you’d like. The heater heats my 6 x 8‘ bathroom quickly. It has a nice looking slim profile and the fan runs very quietly.
