What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the rich, dark black color and exceptional value of this mulch. Many report the color enhances flower beds and looks beautiful upon purchase, with strong appeal for the price point. However, a significant portion note rapid color fading within days or after rainstorms, turning light brown or greyish. Several encounter large wood chunks, rocks, and visible mold in bags. Despite these quality concerns, most customers find the affordability compelling enough for repeat purchases, particularly when on sale, viewing it as a budget-friendly option with acceptable trade-offs.

Great mulch for great deal

Incredible deal on a great product. The employees at Lowe’s helped us load an entire pallet of mulch into our truck with a fork lift. This was efficient, effortless, and easy. Thank you!

Black mulch

Would Recommend

It's that time of year again and I'm waiting on another delivery of mulch. After spreading last season to a depth of 3 to 4 inches I did not experience any weed issue in the landscape and surprisingly it's still black, one year later. Although some did decompose there is enough remaining with a little raking I would not need to add any this year, but I will.

we have been using this much for years. It holds the color well. Every year is a mulch is a little different when it comes to moisture level but compared to other products this is what we’ve found to have the least moisture level which causes mold in the mulch when they are unopened.
