The noise made can be heard inside and surrounding area of the home. It's easy on the neighbors' ears and will not upset them. But, if you need more than 70 d (mines are set on HI) or a louder alarm, I do not recommend this unit.

This device is not an ALARM device. It's more of a quiet 2 ring notification that there is motion, but will NOT scare anyone away or alert anyone that's not super close that there is motion.
