This IS A PIT BOSS!
After researching and reading many reviews on all the different pallet smokers I decided on the Pit Boss 1150 Pro. Lowe's delivered it the next day fully assembled, at no extra charge for assembly and delivery. I am extremely impressed on the accuracy of the PID controller, maintaining the temperature within 1 to 2 degrees. The app works very well and is great for monitoring and controlling the Pit Boss.

Broke quick
I have only had this grill for four months and it's already not working properly. When I first used it was fine. Worked great, now it takes twice as long to cook anything. Cleaned out every thing, inspected it for any obstructing the air, and nothing. Only thing it can now be is that the Temperature gauge has malfunctioned. Plus customer service for Pit Boss is horrendous. Have been calling them for two days, and all it is a recording saying their busy. Their live chat is even worse. Had to repe...

I've done 4 cooks on this smoker and the first 3 were really great. My forth cook I had cleaned it before hand and it started losing temp, the auger didn't seem to be turning the way it should. The one moving part this thing has (auger) and they can't design it to hold up more than a few cooking sessions. Very disappointing.

Poor Quality Compared to my last Pit Boss
I owned a Smaller Pit Boss grill for a couple of years and sold it before moving out of state. It worked great! I bought this after our relocation and have not had near the great experience. I've owned it for about 6 months now. It has a few issues. It leaks grease at the seams in the bottom of the grill. It is clean, yet still leaks (not sure what that's about). The legs with the large wheels attached are flimsy and not very stable when moving the grill. I keep the grill in the garage when not...

I purchased this grill because of all the reviews for pellet grills are very much in favor of the Pit Boss brand. I've done several cooks over the last 1.5 weeks that have been mostly only smoking (225-250), or only grilling (~350). Today I decided to make a spatchcock chicken and started the cook at 250 for an hour. When I was changing it to bring it up to 325 once the breast reached 100, the controls wouldn't allow me to set it at that temp. I only have options for 300 or 350; nothing in b...

This is our first pellet grill and had been researching for some time before we decided on the 1150. Was out of stock for some time and was happy when we were able to finally get one 4 weeks ago. I'm no expert but we have cooked Boston butt, whole cabbage, whole chicken, pork loins, meatloaf and pig shots (look it up). So far everything has been perfect and delicious.
