Effortless Smart Control That Just Works

Works as advertised
This is a smart plug that you can control from your phone while in Bluetooth range if you do not have a hub; if you have the hub, you can control it from anywhere, including via Google assistant or Alexa. The idea is simple...by default, the plug is on and anything plugged into it will work. If you want to turn off that "thing", you simply turn off the plug. You do need the Hue app to make this work, but adding a new device is easy and does not take long
Holiday Lights Year Around
My client with the granddaughter and night lights also installed this product in her home. The granddaughter loves holiday lights and my client loves the fact that the lights can be controlled.
Mediocre Interface
Not terribly impressed with this smart plug. Easy enough to install, but the interface is lacking. Neither of the two QR codes supplied in the packaging were recognized. Also, the QR on the back of the plug defaulted to a motion sensor (huh?). Had already installed the Hue app which I’ve used for lightbulbs before, so it did pick up the new addition when I searched manually. I have a lamp in my living room that is behind a table and hard to reach without knocking things off the table (or knocking the table over)... So I use this plug for that lamp. I really like the Phillips Hue Smart Plug. It works well with my non smart lamps. I'll use it next year during Xmas to control my outdoor decorative lighting. Nice to turn it on remotely right before I get home. The Hue App is easy to install on my phone.
