Philips Hue White

Can get pricey

I got this bout a month ago. The product comes well packaged in a nice compact box. It is white and comes with the plug and internet plug. I was disappointed that this was not wireless. I was also disappointed that it did not come with real directions, just a paper with some vague pictures. I like written directions. Good Light Control but One Problem for me

I have a number of lights controlled by Google Home in my house and can compare the setup and use of those with the Philips Hue. I found the Hue to be slightly more difficult to set up but not a big problem. The app did not find the bulbs on the first try but did find them on retry. The Hue bulbs did not work as well with Google Home as expected. Initially the name I gave a bulb, like Table Lamp, was not recognized by Google Home. This device is easy to connect, and the presentation looks cool. The instructions are easy to follow. My only concern is not all my devices are compatible with this wireless lights item.i have some devices unable to connect. Before you buy this device or other devices may sure are compatible. Other than that this item is recommended.

Interesting but outdated by independent smart plug

Although it was essentially very easy to set up, it has essentially been replaced with an upgrades version. It is a proprietary item, meaning only Hue products work with it, and the items that work with it are pretty expensive.

Physically Disconnected

This might be for others but it's not for me. The biggest issue for me, is that it requires a port into the wireless system and I don't have extra ports available. This would work for my needs if is instead worked off of the wireless system without the physical connection. I also ran into issues in that there wasn't sufficient available products to use with the system. In fact, I bought what I believed worked with the system, discovered it did not and when I went back there were very few off...

The product worked as anticipated. The value for the cost is very good. Overall i think its slightly above average in the same category from other vendors.

Easy to set up

I wasn’t so sure of what to expect with this product as I’ve never gone “all in “ with home automation. This device seems straightforward and easy to set up utilizing the app on my IPhone. I purchased a light and have gotten it set up and it’s working fine.

Philips Hue Bridge

The Philips Hue Bridge is a great convenient way to control turn on or off the lights in your home simply by using your phone along with the Philip Hue app. The Philips Hue Bridge is also compatible with Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home.
