Excellent UV Blockage So Far

I bought this mesh for my westward facing windows on the front of my house. It was the perfect solution for blocking the hot Texas sun. It really looks classy on my white house. My house has arched windows and indoor blinds were not an option because they couldn’t be mounted easily on my odd-sized arched windows. You can see out, but not inside—even at night, it blocks passersby from looking into my house. You really have to strain to make out what is inside. I can’t wait for lower electric bill...

I have used these over the years, once at a previous home with a solid wall of 7 floor to ceiling windows on the south side of thr house, and the second time on a camper. We didn't use a spline for either. On the house we stapled the mesh onto a box frame and used hook and eye fixtures to hang the solar screens over the outside of the windows in summer, then took them down in the winter to encourage passive solar heating and save on oil. PROS-CONS

We like that the Super Solar Screen drops the temp coming in the window in the summer but wonder about the need for the sun's heat in winter. During the daytime with lights out, you can't see inside from outside and I like that. At night, with lights on inside it's different, you can see from the outside in. I noticed that the cooling units don't come on as much. Will save on power and wear and tear on the A/C units in summertime. Haven't experienced winter with these screens yet.

Great screen

Screens out uva and uvb sun rays. I use on screen porch during winter to reduce wind and cold. Summer blocks morning sun and then I roll up the screen like a shade to let more air in thru regular screens. This screen is too thick to allow airflow on a patio in hot summer. I also use on upstairs screens in bedrooms to block hot summer soon. Works Great!!

Should Have Done This Sooner

With our scorching record 100+ summer, I have had difficulty keeping my house cool - even with a new AC unit installed just two years ago. I had my attic re-insulated and that helped. But, the house was still uncomfortable as I could not keep it cooler than 81 degrees with the AC running full blast. I have a lot of west facing windows and after researching, found this product. Easy to put on old frames . And cools down room.

Never knew these existed saw something about sun screens online and tried them out because I lost my shaded south side when the nextdoor neighbor cut down a large oak. You need .125 size channel piping because these are thicker screens.

Can't be 90%

So disappointed in this product! Total waste of money. Bought this screen and had my handyman make a screen for my west window. It was almost totally as before without the screen! If you want coverage from sun rays do not buy this one! It can't be 90% coverage protection as claimed!

Yes, it is worth it

This screen is much easier to install than much thinner and lighter ones. It doesn’t have the propensity to sag and wrinkle like lighter screen. It has fiber integrated into it that makes it stronger and resistant to tearing. BONUS: it looks way better too.

Glad I found this

I have 4 bay windows facing South and the sun glare is brutal. For these, I simply cut panels and tacked them up behind the blinds. It has totally eliminated all glare and considerably reduced the heat coming from the windows. I had enough leftover to do a screen on another room where the morning sun comes in and blinds me before I have my coffee. This is the only area I gave it a slightly lower rating. Great product!!

I needed to replace the screens on my lanai and these are perfect. The back of the house faces West so the afternoons were brutal to sit outside but the mesh on this screen is just right to allow airflow while blocking out a lot of the sun.
