What Customers Are Saying

Customers praise the door's core functionality, with many noting it reliably allows pets to enter and exit independently, eliminating constant trips outside. Installation is straightforward and convenient for busy households. However, a substantial group reports significant durability issues: magnetic strips fail to seal properly, flaps blow open in wind, and plastic components crack or break within months. Many describe the plastic screws, brackets, and frame as cheap and brittle, with some replacing flaps multiple times yearly. Despite these concerns, most customers find the convenience worthwhile for interior use, though outdoor durability remains problematic.

I have always had a PetSafe doggie door, however when we had the patio door replaced we went wih a single flap door.to be installed. How cheap it is! The flap bows out to where the air flows through. Don't waist your money on this doggie door, not worth it. I will go back to the extreme door which is what we have always had for the past 10 years and were very satisfied with it. Even when changing out the flaps, never an issue fit perfect! Oh well, live and learn.

Why did you change the design?!

Would Not Recommend

I have purchased many Petsafe Pet doors over the years. And each time I get one the quality has went down. This latest model that I purchased I’m rather disappointed in the design. I wish companies would stop and think. I just purchased a medium plastic door for my new home. Installation was to be expected. But the design! The inside black part that goes inside the cut door isn’t one piece anymore so they don’t even line up correctly. It even mentions it might not, so them please tell me wh...

Quality is lacking.

Would Not Recommend

Had to upgrade our old classic aluminum door due to petsafe not selling the xl size rubber flap anymore. Let me say, this one is absolute junk. Flimsy plastic, blows open with the slightest breeze. Magnets don't seem to do anything. I'll be super gluing my old flap back together and reinstalling the old one.

Great door

Would Recommend

Had to have the opening cut bigger but that was my fault. Measure twice. 😂😂 I absolutely love it.

Very difficult to install. I’m unsure of how quality it is yet but it was not an easy installation.

High quality and durability for my huge German she

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product. It works well for my huge German shepherd and she uses it all the time. I love that she is able to go in and out of the house whenever she needs to. The durability of this door is great and I have had no issues with the quality. Thank you for this product!

Let's in all the rain

Haven't had this too long. My son installed it for me. My chihuahuas use it easily. My complaint is that it lets in all the water when it rains. My floors have been soaked. The little plastic cover barely goes on and doesn't stay on so well either.
