Looked great, lasted 3 months...

Loved this when bought, but the little plastic inserts the hopd the seed failed from use and one fell ok ur, so not a good choi ccx e at all.

Guess my squirrels are too smart!

I’m still trying to figure out how to keep the schools out!

BEST Squirrel Proof Feeder on Market

Owned one exactly like this for years. After a raccoon destroyed it, I never thought I'd find another one. Thank you Lowes for carrying this particular feeder online. It was delivered "free" and came faster than stated. This is the BEST one out there. You will never be sorry for purchasing this one.

not squirrel proof!

I've only had this for 5 days and the squirrels have found their way in! I'm watching them eat from it right now. They've pried off the plastic part where the birds eat and he's sticking his hands and even head in to eat.

Not durable, bad design.

Don't buy. Within 2 weeks, birds destroyed rubber a couple of the rubber openings that hold seeds and all the seeds spilled out. Bad design. Should have used the metal seed stopper inside like other tube feeders

Lasted Two Weeks

The squirrels completely destroyed this feeder. They bent the leaves back out of their way and removed the springs that were meant to control the openings. next thing I know it's on the ground in pieces. Go with the Squirrel Solutions feeders. I've had one for almost four years and it still keeps the squirrels out.

Squirrels like plastic too, mmmm

The feeder holes need to have metal / have metal edges . The squirrels have figured out how to tear thru - chew the plastic and make this no longer usable. Might be OK if on a pole where the squirrels can't get to the feeder anyway. It lasted a few months before they figured it out. Don't want to send back / warranty as they - squirrels have figured out the design weakness.

Clever Design - And yes, it is squirrel proof

This is an all-metal feeder. The cage on the outside is spring-loaded, so when a squirrel gets onto it, the cage slides down and covers the holes where the feed comes out. Because the birds are light, the cage remains 'up' and they happily eat. I purchased this feeder about 10 yrs ago. It's still going strong and now I am purchasing one as a gift. The only thing that wore out was the plastic hanging loop -- easy to replace. It is tough to clean, but I find a dedicated bottle brush from the $1 s...
