5-year Seal Warranty Not Sufficient

We purchased the equivalent of this door for a similar price some years back. At about 6 years old, the seals failed in both the slider and fixed panel. My quote to repair from Pella was $4,651.05. Functionally, we love the blinds between the glass, but we were told these doors only have a 5-year seal warranty.

Difficult transaction

The whole process was not a good experience. From trying to deliver the wrong door to the communication of the sales person. The door also needs the handle replaced and needs to be adjusted to fit correctly. It was not a smooth process.

Do you want white or green?

I went thru a contractor, Pro rep, and store employees from 3 different Lowes stores and looked at the 250 series display at the store. First Pella door was delivered. It had "green blinds and inside frame". I spoke to all 6 contacts again and arrangements were made for door #2. It was delivered. It also had "green blinds and inside frame". Dented, bowed and scratched

Door was ordered and delivered without any issues, but when we unpacked it to have it installed, we found the side was dented and scratched and bowed in a little from the dent. There is also a scratch on the top. We couldn't return it because our old door had already been removed after the delivery guys said they were on their way. I'm trying to upload pictures of it, but it keeps saying there's an error.

Missing part

I took 2 points off my review for this new purchase because I am missing the part that raises the blind up and down on one side. Therefore, half the blind is stuck like it is in the product picture. I took another point off because Pella referred me to Lowe’s and the part can take 4 weeks to arrive via Lowe’s. Lowe"s Knows Nothing

Don't waste your time and money dealing with Lowe's. You will regret it. If you don't believe me go ahead and buy something then get back to me. Take this as a serious warning.
