For best results, apply with a Scotts® drop or broadcast/rotary spreader when ants are most active in morning or late evening and when temperatures are between 65°F and 80°F. Water in after application. One 11.5 lb. bag of Ortho® Fire Ant Killer Broadcast Granules covers 5,650 sq. ft. of lawn space. To keep fire ants at bay, use as part of the Ortho® 2-Step System with Ortho® Orthene® Fire Ant Killer1 (sold separately) as a first step to destroy existing mounds. Good product, but Buyer Be Safe

I've been using this product for about a year. I was unaware that it needs to be used in tandem with the granules for the best results. Will be trying that soon. This smells, one should always read labels, the smell should let you know DANGER, wear gloves and a mask, if you have sensitive skin make sure you are covered. I have two dogs, when applying I block off the area for 24 hours, then spray it down. Most labels work for bigger heavier dogs, not small breeds. I have not had a problem wit...
