Won't open more than 90 degrees
Hinges seemed to be great until I was all finished the installation of 4 of these hinges for a fence gate door and opened the gate and it won't go past 90 degrees. I only need it to open to about 135 degrees, not even a full 180 degrees. I have tried adjusting the tension but no luck so far. I'm hoping someone from National Hardware or Lowe's can tell me how these hinges are supposed to allow a door to swing open past 90 degrees.

How can I disable the spring in this hinge? I don't know why, but I can't get my fence gate door to open more than about 90 degrees and I need it to go to at least 135%. I really don't need the spring loaded automatic close.
