National Hardware 5-9/32-in Black Gate latch

Great gate latch you can open from either side.

Was exactly what I was looking for and took a very short time to receive it.

Short comings

This is a very well made and heavy latch with a few problems. First off, the screws used to mount it. Just Phillips heads. It's lockable with a pad or key lock. But doesn't do a whole lot of good when all you need to do is take the screws out. Should have security screws. Second, the handle for the inside isn't long enough to go to the outside. Keeps door secure and weather-resistant

This was a great latch to add to my hunting stand door so that it is secure, lockable, and weather-resistant. The handles themselves could use a bit of smoothing, as they felt fairly sharp on the palm when turning.

Durable!

We live in Pennsylvania and winter has not ended here. The latch never froze up and work through our last few storms! I definitely recommend!

Extremely Heavy Duty

I have two small children, so this handle effectively kept them in the yard while allowing me easy access in and out with the turn of a handle. This latch feels to be of good quality metal. sturdy product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This latch is made very sturdy. I like the way it is so easy for it to close. We installed it on our patio doors. The only thing I could find wrong with it is on the handle there was sharp edges. This can be taken care of by sanding it a little.
