Many Pros, One Major Con, Couple Quibbles

Pros: Beautiful feeder that attracts many hummers. Heavy enough not to sway in storms. Plastic base with gasket; 100% leak-proof. Glass color does not fade. Cons: **Interior RUSTS** (exterior does not) Reservoir too large for practical use (2-3 days supply= 4oz fill, to prevent nectar spoiling, but that makes it look like feeder is empty.) ZERO STARS! UNSAFE FOR HUMMERS CORRODED METALS

We purchased one feeder and returned for a second because feeder is very pretty and I believed materials would be durable. Obviously feeder not safety tested prior to market because troughs on both feeders rusted within a few weeks. (In light of other poor reviews and my own experience this is a case of one defective item!) This is exceptionally hazardous because the rust is on interior and not noticeable until disassembled. Beautiful feeder but the interior rusts

I've had this feeder for about a month now along with another feeder from the same company. They're both glass bottles which I love. There is no perch on this one but that is okay because the birds seem to prefer not having a perch on a rainy day. The only problem with this feeder is that it rusts really badly on the inside. Whatever was used to coat the outside of the metal part works like a charm as it has held up to many rains but the inside rusts like crazy.

Beautiful but no place to perch!

This feeder holds a lot of nectar, and our hummers are attracted to it quite easily. It looks very nice in our back yard next to our water fountain. The only problem is that there is nowhere for the hummers to perch. We just didn't realize this when we bought it. The hummers have to keep beating those lovely little wings to get any nectar but they do come to it despite that fact. However, the other two feeders we have in our front yard empty out quicker because they do have nice perches for ...

Rusts inside bottom nectar area

Humming birds come around but refuse drinking from the nectar. I believe the metal nectar bowl rusts and distorts nectar taste. The flowers fade color so badly that they no longer draw the attention of the humming birds. Total waste...pretty it was to look at but the manufacture of it is a total failure for the humming birds. Don't waste your money! I repainted the flowers to brighten them but that too does not draw the humming birds any longer.

Who knew?

Needed to replace hummingbird feeder and Lowe’s was out of the red glass ones which I think I prettier than the plastic. So I thought I’d try the blue (which happens to be my favorite color). To the surprise of my husband, the hummers loved the blue as much if not more than the red. So pretty that I got another.

Poisonous Hummingbird Feeder

The inside and outside of the base (where the liquid rests for the birds to drink) rusts inside and out. This is poison to the birds. I bought 8 of them (over $140) and possibly hurt a lot of hummingbirds. This product should not be sold in any stores, it needs to be removed from the market. It even killed the bug on it, shown in the picture.

The worst

Purchased two of these, one for me and one for my daughter. Neither of us have had a bird use this feeder. The hummers seem to like more brightly colored plastic feeders than this dull colored feeder. They will come up to it, pause for a short look. The other feeders have to be refilled every 2-3 days. This one gets dumped every week. I finally threw mine in the trash after 3 months an not a single bird has fed from this, total waste of money.
