What Customers Are Saying

The product has mixed reviews. Some customers appreciate the easy application, quick drying, and good coverage, with one reviewer describing the color as rich and beautiful. However, many encountered issues with the stain, such as arriving without pigment or tint, resulting in a clear or beige base rather than the desired color. Customers also found the stain dries too quickly, making it difficult to work with and resulting in streaking or clumping. Overall, the consensus is that the product can be hit-or-miss, with color matching and application issues experienced by many customers.

Excellent product! Better than oil based.

I have been using this stain in several colors all year and I am very pleased with it. It dries quickly, is easy to clean up with soap and water and is available colors. For best results I found that I must cover it with Chrystal Clear Topcoat to end up with a satin finish that feels smooth.

I was happy to find this stain for the mail box. It is black and even the Paint store didn’t have it! Thank you Lowe’s

Nice Product

Would Recommend

I’ve used this solid white stain for years. It is very thick (for a stain) and goes on thick like paint. It dries relatively quickly. Clean up of brushes is easy as it is water based. If applied to a smooth surface any dirt or grime wipes off easily.
