This router base plate is trying to be too many things at once. As such, it fails all of the options. I was looking for a durable replacement router plate. Instead, I purchased a pile of cheap plastic that comes apart. I built a replacement plate from a leftover piece of marine ply I had lying around. Lowe's, this product is beneath you and takes away from your overall good reputation. Fortunately, your return desk personnel understood and refunded my money.

Beware danger

The quick lock is not secure, it will vibrate loose and cause failure. I was 30 linear feet into a project of 200 linear feet when the bushing vibrated loose and caused the colar to jam the bit a get bent up. Fortunately it didn't damage bit, or project and didn't cause injury, but it shut down the project. From reading other reviews here, it look like this is a comon issue with this product. Possibly a set screw would solve this problem.

Not worth the money

The base plate did not align with my dewalt router without some modification. The first bushing that I used did not hold up to the job. It is brass encased in hard plastic and it moved and lost its squareness.

It worked just fine with my dovetail jig. Only made one small , so it is difficult to guess how long it will last. The price was reasonable.

Works as expected

This did not fit my Hitachi M12V router. Too early a version of the Hitachi I guess. It fits some of them. But fortunately it fit my small Dewalt router and worked just as it should.
