Worked on the first cook, after that the temp on the meat probe was off about 25 degrees....it's going in the trash.
Junk
I guess I shouldn’t have expected much at 40 bucks, but I would have thought it would at least help a bit. Not the case. At a minimum 20 degrees off compared to two different thermometers. The temp froze at 135 and never climbed from there, even after my turkey was done. (165) Would not recommended to ANYONE.
Dont understand the reviews
I wonder if maybe there is a quality control issue? Mine works great and I love it! First thing out of the box I did the boil test; both probes were dead on within 1 degree. First smoke same day with a small brisket. 8hrs with no issue. Validated meat reading with a more expensive handheld probe, spot on. I dint use any of the alarm features, so I can’t speak to that. But, as far as temp reading and range of remote, worth it to me.
Don't waste your time
I'd bought one based on the 2-prong heat thermometers and price.. but when I got it home, MAN was it hard to get sync'd or set up the pre-set temperatures! The printed instructions just suck, and just try to find help online! NOTHING! Luckily I've found all of this out before actually using it, because I'm definitely taking it back!
Terrible Product
Returning tomorrow. You can’t even adjust the temp down, it starts at 176 then if you want to set it at 125 you have to go all the way up to 572 and back around. What a dumb design.
Don't buy
Couldn't adjust the thermometer for different meats - it was stuck at 176 degrees.

Solid 4.5 star probe
This is a nice little unit. It's primarily for smoking. Do not use this guy on a sear zone. It's not made to withstand those types of temperatures. I love using this with my smoker and having a fairly accurate smoke chamber reading ( ~10 degrees) and a really good meat temp reading (~3 degrees). This unit is simple to use and I love the fact that I can use the remote to monitor anywhere inside my house. You're not getting all of the bells and whistles here, but it has all of the features I'll ev...
