My Propane smoker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this smoker liked it a great deal, the pan for wood chips is great, dual doors for access to add more wood chips, overall very pleased. The top door hinge broke making it almost useless. It still works but a pain to use, and clean.

Hassle Free Smoke
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After five years of faithful service, my Masterbuilt vertical propane smoker has more than earned its place as a cornerstone of my backyard cooking setup. It has consistently delivered delicious, smoke-infused results, whether I'm tackling a holiday turducken or a Thanksgiving turkey. One of the standout features of my model is the full viewing window. Being able to monitor the color of the meat without opening the door is a game-changer. I...

Reliable and Consistant Workhorse of a Smoker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Smoker was the Masterbuilt - Two Door Propane smoker. I knew nothing about smoking or how to use a smoker. I had to assemble it myself, which I am a nerd and kind of like assembling something so I know it better. However, after reading and researching I decided to fire it up and smoke a couple of whole chickens. They turned out beautiful and of course, tasty. I love the fact that I can control the amount of smoke and temperature manual...

Smoker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my old smoker just before Christmas. It works great but I do have two gripes. One, the interior area is smaller than I expected, and eighteen lb spatchcock turkey is a tight fit. Two, wood pan is too small to put enough flavor into the meat early in the cook.

XL gas smoker!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am writing to share my positive experience with the XL gas smoker I purchased in 2017. When I bought my house, I decided it was time to upgrade from my Masterbuilt 30” digital electrical smoker. I chose the XL gas smoker specifically because I wanted to transition to gas and really liked the glass door feature. After a simple assembly and the initial seasoning, I have since smoked all kinds of meat with it. I am very happy with how well...

Does not stay lit.
Bought and assembled a couple months ago. Finally got a chance to use it. Two hours into the smoke the flame went out. Not a supply issue. Will only stay lit if you hold the knob in. Let go of the knob it goes out. The heat sensor is installed properly, connections are tight. The controls are simply faulty and based upon dozens of other reviews it’s a common defect.

Rust and design flaws
I was getting ready to use this unit but the fire box fell out because the bottom had rusted through. This would have been the third year. I bought this same model before and it lasted 3 years. Both were stored in a dry location. This has 3 design flaws: 1) cheap thin sheet metal for the bottom and fire box that is not rust or heat resistant. 2) The wood chip holder / dish allows flames to reach the wood and ignite the chips resulting in a loss of control and over heating. 3) The water pan is ...

Love it!!!
This smoker is amazing, its pretty efficient and very easy to use, I love that it requires NO electricity as we live off the grid. I wish it would bet to the 400 mark so I could use it as a oven alternative, but its okay that it doesn't. I use our smoker at least 3 or 4 times a week and have smoked chickens, bacon, steaks of various cuts and thicknesses. I sometimes don't put the wood chips in just cook on a low and slow. Oh Hickory smoked salt is the bees knees along with smoked cream cheese s...
