What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this diamond core drill bit for cutting through hard porcelain and ceramic tile with remarkable ease, often completing holes in minutes. The integrated guide bushing is consistently highlighted as exceptional, keeping the bit centered and preventing slipping or cracking. Many report it outperforms cheaper alternatives and handles multiple holes before wearing. However, the water cooling system receives criticism—the reservoir drains too quickly and sticky pads fail on damp surfaces, prompting most users to switch to spray bottles. Despite this drawback, the vast majority consider the bit itself reliable and worth purchasing for professional-grade tile drilling results.

I did 10 holes on porcelain and could probably do 10 more. The water contraption is great for starting the hole but not for doing the entire hole. You need 2 people, one to hold the contraption in place and one to drill. After starting the hole, lose the contraption and have second person spray with water until thru. Run drill in low speed and give some pressure but not 1000# press. I did find if I very slightly oscillated the drill, it seemed to speed up the process. You need a small metal punc...

Longest lasting diamond hole saw in the store
One of these units has drilled holes through an inch of ceramic tile and eight inches of concrete and is still going. Keep it wet and run it at about 60 RPM with moderate pressure. Clean it off and clear the center about every 1/8 inch for best performance.
the drill bit guide was terrific. it allowed the bit to remain straight and not wander off its mark. I strongly would recommend this for drilling porcelain. Had tried the suction cups from another brand and they wouldn't cling to the wall.
Worst thing o ever got from Lowe’s
Diamond drill bit system
Used this drill bit system to drill through the glass tile in the bathroom to install tub sliding doors. The provided wet tank helps to keep the bit cool without the mess.
Nice product
Easy to use, effective, makes clean holes in ceramic tile with no mess.
Good idea but needs some improvements.
The idea is great and it worked well on the first hole. After that, I had to use Gorilla Tape to hold it to the surface while I got the hole started. The adhesive pads only stick for one hole. Also, it is very difficult to line up the hole perfectly. I added crosshair set up lines on the tool and drew pencil crosshairs on the tile to assist with the hole alignment.
