I purchased this threshold after doing some tile work. I didn't realize that Lowe's sells a piece that you lay down before you lay the tile to make a clean transition. I purchased this threshold to correct my error. In order for me to get the sticky track to adhere to the floor, I had to make a spacer out of paint sticks so the track had something to it here too. I cut this to length with my multi tool and a metal blade. It works like a champ.

Adhesive strip is ineffective. Without drilling your one holes and starting your own screws obtained elsewhere the product just suits in the slot of the floor your reducing from. On asecond note it makes it easy to remove and remove unwanted accumulated diet but it isn't secure a necessity of its safe use.

Transition for new flooring

Worked very well for a transition from carpet to new vinyl plank. Color blended fairly well with new floor.

Easy to install and the color goes well with our existing color scheme.

Smooths out door threshold.

Needed to "fill-in" and smooth out shallow step-down in aluminum threshold. Fits reasonably well. Instructions says first to place plastic clip that has peel-and-stick adhesive, then press in aluminum reducer strip. Decided to install by barely clipping plastic part to aluminum part, then exposed adhesive strip, and pressed whole assembly into place on threshold. Currently waiting to determine how well new strip survives foot traffic.
