It works really well! I did not expect the Thinq app was useful and a gimmick. It allows you to schedule when the unit starts controlling the temp automatically. It is a bit loud when the fan run at high speed. It will maintain cooling in an insulated Texas garage quite well. Installation was pretty straightforward and easy, especially for units that hang in windows. What doesn't work well is the window extension. Only problem I'm having is with draining the excess water from the unit. The hose you provided has an attachment which isn't exactly user friendly. Please provide me some advice if you can. Thank you. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the LG unit.

It is so very easy and simple to set up.

I liked it because it also has heating and a dehumidifier. It is not very large. It does not take up a lot of space. It cools a medium size room really well.

Effective portable AC

The AC unit is effective, we have it in a room that is oversized for its rating and it strains but keeps the room cool. Moving it to a smaller room the until functions great. We ordered it delivered initially, Fedex dropped the box and the until was broken and inoperable, Lowes easily credited the return and we purchased another one for pickup at a store. This unit works fine. Good customer server by Lowes.

Soaks Everything

This AC is genuinely a piece of junk. I have to drain water from it every 15 minutes just for it to soak my floor anyways. I’ve emptied almost two liters in the last half hour and instead of just cooling my room it’s soaked my carpet too.

Fast cooling

We are using this to supplement our primary air conditioning unit. It is helping out a lot. It cools fast. A little noisy but worth the savings in my electric bill.

Runs quietly

This portable AC was simple to set up and runs quieter than most portable AC units I have used previously. The window vent is shorter so if you have a tall window you will need something to block the space.

What a Product

replaced my similar LG air conditioner that was 11 years old. This model is a complete upgrade as it has a thermostat feature that allows me to set the temperature and not worry about running all the time, just like the house AC. LG got this product right
