Won't purchase again!

Bought What I think is a 12" OA length set years ago. Have only used about 20 times. The sliding mechanism stopped working and is locked in the smallest setting. Very bad design. Go with Klein.

Zero Stars

If I could give them zero stars I would. They just don’t work! I have two of them, brand new, and neither will hold their grip. The adjustable portion slips making them useless. Really disappointed with these. I have other sizes that work well.

Completely useless

Every time I try to grip onto anything they slide open and when you're trying to hold something or whatever you're doing it's a shock and screws stuff up. Like another commenter said... Great paperweight. They have never worked from day one. I didn't keep the receipt because I didn't expect them to be completely useless.

Unsatisfied

I have the 12" and literally thought there was a defect and searched for a recall on this product in hopes of it not just being a poor design. Vise grips do not lock into place and with the slightest grip, they release and slide. I even thought it might be user error until googling the product.

It's the staff!, Stupid.

The saw blades are typical. I needed help finding the right style and size. The lady who staffed the department made the difference. She went to work to locate what I needed. I told her I appreciated it.

Best gift I've ever recieved!

I LOVE these pliers. Got them from my son for Christmas in a 3 piece set. I always had a pair of the old style channel-lock type in my bag, but when I tried these, The others went into retirement. The easiest adjustment on the market and has a better "feel" in my hand. They provide more leverage and greater grip than the others. I can adjust in blind locations with only 1 hand... (just waiting for the next big big move) BRAVO !!!

Durable blade

If you're looking to cut wood I'd find another tool unless you just have the time to take your time. But all and all this is a super durable blade. Even took a shot at a metal sheet and it cut through just fine.

Worthless

I have the 12" groovelock pliers. They look and feel great, but are worthless because the locking mechanism slips under very low torque.

Great concept, poor quality

I am a power equipment mechanic - I hardly use these but when I need them I need them - both my pairs of these have rounded teeth from gripping soft materials and now slip. The pair that just rounded have been used less than 6 times. Irwin used to stand for quality before they shipped manufacture to China. The handles slip off the pliers too - low adhesion glue. Great pliers!!

Diesel mechanic with 20+yrs exp. I've been using them for 3yrs now with absolutely no problems. I love the functionality of them. I use the 10" with the offset jaws which easily grips around bolt and nut heads. Took away a star because one of the grips tends to slide down. One nice thing about the grips is they can be wiped down and cleaned with acetone without damaging the logos or the colors!! ....A quick message to any young techs just starting out....Make sure your tools are affordable eno...
