This was a substitute replacement for a product that was out of stock and I think I did better because the other one only tested 70 - 1000Vac, where this one measures 2 ranges 12 - 1000Vac and 100 - 1000Vac. That means I can use the lower range starting at 12 volts where the higher range, 100-1000 cannot measure below 100Vac. The only issue I have is the 1st battery that goes in has to be pushed and is difficult to get out. I have had to slam it on a wood table with a cutting mat and washcloth ...

First battery gets stuck
The products work as intented. The NCV tester has a manufacturing defect. I say it is a defect because I exchanged for another one and it has the same problem. The first battery that is inserted must be forced in and this causes it to get stuck. You will not be able to change the first battery.
