Kofault 1/2” r
Ive had the same set of X brand sockets/ratchets for well over a decade. Not a single problem. I did not, however, have a 1/2” drive. Now, I was warming up to Kobalt products, and have quite a few, but this one was by far the most garbage. When using the thing it binds BAD. It randomly decides it no longer likes you ratcheting in that direction so it stops working altogether. You have to manually flip the direction toggle back and forth to get it working again. Great ratchet for the price, but...
Almost everything about this ratchet is exactly what I expect from kobalt, strong, quality metal, extremely fine teeth, the 90 tooth design is fantastic. The only thing wrong with this (and other kobalt ratchets of the same style) straight out of the box is the direction selector switch, any small graze against it and it switches directions. Very frustrating.
Excellent fit and finish
I needed a socket wrench to compliment my torque wrench. This Kobalt 1/2” socket drive has been perfect. I can’t vouch for all of their wrenches but the quality of mine was pretty impressive. Good value for the price and and excellent replacement policy

Junk
These rachets are junk and supposed to have lifetime warranty but they don't even carry them in stores any more bad lowes make them don't carry them
