Kobalt 6-inch Palm Sander. Do not waste your time and money. Pad does not stay on. Great concept for easy change out......gone wrong. First one I had, kept coming loose at the pad, where the tightener should have held it. Second one only lasted 2 minutes before the pad flew off. Threaded it back on, flew off again within a few seconds. Unfortunately, Kobalt products are becoming low quality.Not sure if i will ever buy another Kobalt product. Good little sander

I have been using this DA sander for 3 weeks during the re-painting of my car. It uses pretty reasonable air CFM as my 3.7 hp, 60 gallon, 15+ year old air compressor keeps up with it just fine. I have other sanders, big name sanders that quickly drain the air from my tank and i am left waiting for it to refill. Nice sander!

Possibly defective or poor quality control

I originally purchased roughly 2 months ago. I loved it thought particularly the locking feature for changing pads. However today the tool suddenly out of nowhere started making loud clanking noise as though something was lose or broken. I do Collison work this is a tool i used everyday since time of purchase i value and do my best to take care of all my tools. high vibration and loud

It works great for what you pay for it, but it definitely doesn't stand up to the higher end brands with how much it vibrates and how loud it is.
