What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this cordless trimmer for its powerful motor, quiet operation, and excellent battery life, with many noting it handles thick grass and full quarter-acre yards on a single charge. The lightweight design and bump-feed system appeal to users of all strengths, and battery compatibility with other tools is frequently cited as a major advantage. However, some encounter frustrations with the string feeding mechanism, describing it as difficult to reload or prone to jamming, while others report trouble obtaining replacement parts. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a strong cordless alternative to gas models.

I bought this for my wife. Unfortunately, the trigger has a problem keeping the unit running. Sadly, when I found the problem, I can't find my receipt. I did find on the internet, that this is a common problem. When you squeeze the trigger, it spins up then spins down again. You have to keep pumping the trigger to get it to work. My wife can't even use it. I wish I had found out about this problem before I purchased it.
Repair parts non-existent
Purchased on Apr 17, 2022 and I need a string head replacement C1101008-00. Couldn't find anything on line or at the local stores and I'm told the product is no longer carried.

No replacement spools available
The trimmer itself works fine. It can be a little awkward with the heavy battery. Why I gave it a low score: All those Kobalt replacement spools you see on the shelves near the trimmers? None of them are for this trimmer. You have to buy the bundles of string they sell, and you have to take that string and wind it around the spool yourself. There is no option to pop a spool out and replace it with a fully-strung spool. There is an item to replace the entire head, which is over $20 -- which is...
40-volt 15-in Cordless String Trimmer Review
This is a replacement for the same unit I purchased about 3 years ago, though it was rated for 5 years. That not withstanding, I liked it so much I bought another one anyway.

String Eater
I've had this weed eater for over a year. I had a choice at the time to buy an auto feed or a bump feed. I bought the auto feed. Wish I would have bought the bump feed. The reason why, whenever you take your finger off the power trigger and walk to another location in your yard, then push the power trigger to begin trimming, it automatically feeds trimmer line whether you need it or not. The other option is to keep your finger on the trigger and let the unit run while you're walking to another...
Not much draw on power
Works good. This is my second one
