Be sure to remove the covers on the tips. Still no guarantee you'll be able to fully insert the ends insight the outlet (when checking that way). When an outlet is exposed the voltage tester works fine. It works as expected.

Works great; would like if the leads were a little longer. Depending what your working on; leads too short to reach electrodes you are working on. Thanks for a great product.

Tips of probes are too short to go in receptacle
You will not be able to insert the tips of the probes into a receptacle as the description says. They are too short and thick.
