Thus far this product has worked very well. Both the blower and trimmer. My issue was with the packaging. I thought I bought a Lowe's Black Friday deal. I have ordered a new equipment, The one which was delivered was a open box with all the items inside the box scrambled, covers removed, strings loosened & battery half charged. I would be returning it and won't recommend buying anything online. I didn't use it.

Fast and Easy
Make yard work a breeze with this set. I am able to weed eat around the house and blow the clippings back into the yard with ease. Light weight and easy stored and hung in the garage.
WEEDEATER IS JUNK
As the headliner states the weedeater is a total piece of JUNK!!!! The leafblower is awesome, but I’ve personally had two different weedeaters and they’re both junk! The first one lasted two mowing seasons so two years and the other I just bought this year and it already isnt working properly! It loses string on one side or stops spitting out string, or all the string retracts into the head. Ill be buying a new weedeater and warning everyone I know to not purchase a weedeater from Kobalt.

Battery Kept Crapping Out
The first two times I used this, it was great. Was able to use the blower and trimmer for about an hour. After that, the battery would die every 15 minutes or so on a fully charged battery. Wish I could return it. I've only had it for about 3 months.

Not the same
I bought the 40v max blower with the shorter nozzle for my mother a year ago and it is a lot better than this one with the longer nozzle. Her's has a extra button to kick up the power when needed this one doesn't. In my opinion this one is a bit inferior but does the job okay.. Would not buy this one again but would the other one..
40v blower & trimmer usage
I've had the combo items for about 5 months now, and I really really like them! No more gas/oil mixture, fumes, pull start, etc. - just plug in the battery and go. I use the blower on the patio, walks, and porches; prob. use half the battery - recharge it and ready for the next use. I had a gas trimmer that was a real monster(would prob. cut down a small maple tree!) I didn't really need that much - the 40v trimmer is just right for suburbia & my use. Good Products
