This is a perfect gas mower tractor replacement. It is an effective, intuitive, and efficient machine. With regard to the Kobalt mulch plug that is not available: the Ego AMP4200 mulch plug fits the Kobalt 42" electric tractor perfectly and the discharge chute flap behaves exactly like the Greenworks setup, staying safely out of the way in the upright position without needing any modification or removal of the flap as I'd previously intended.

I bought this earlier this week. It was delivered yesterday and I did my first mow on 7/4/26. I upgraded from a battery-powered ryobi riding mower and I could not be more pleased. This sucker feels solid and has some girth and oomph. IIt feels significantly beefier than the ryobi which 'died' last week for the third time in two years 👎 The site says it takes four hours to fully charge but it seems closer to 1.5-2 hours. Great Mower!

Great mower. Basically zero maintenance. Powerful, fast… cut my yard in record time. Easy handling. Tight turn radius. Automatic, push button convenience. Wife loves it too. It’s quiet, convenient, comfortable. Definitely worth every penny. Glad I took a chance and didn’t buy the well known Green Brand.

Gentle mower

I like that it’s quiet and doesn’t leave me feeling beat up after I mow. Slow speed and seems to make lots of noises when I run over small sticks.

Big Difference from Gas Mower

The 3 main differences are sound, comfort and cut width. I have a Cub Cadet over 50", which I have no complaints other than I'm getting too old and lazy to do maintenance. The Kobalt 42" is narrow enough to fit where my Cub couldn't go so I had to use a walk behind. Two things I would change is how the hood for the storage compartment opens. Not Supported

I purchased this mower with the intent to mulch my lawn. At the time I purchased the mower, the mulching kit was not available, mulching blades were not available, and a bagging system was not available available. Nobody could tell me when these parts would be available. As a result, I returned the mower and got a more dependable and supported mower. A John Deere. The mower itself was great. I just wish the support system was in place before they started selling the mower.

This was a reasonably affordable option for an all-electric mower. It seems to be made by the same company that manufactures the more expensive green brand. I love that I don't have to deal with messy oil or gas, or small engine maintenance. It zips around and cuts the grass on my 3/4-acre yard very efficiently on a single charge.
