Cools down a room

Picture for size is wrong (8000 BTU version)

Bought this specifically because the width in the picture shows 15.7 inches. My Window is 17.5 and I need something small to fit that still has at least 8k BTU. The ACTUAL Width is listed in the specs at 18.5, but the picture is wrong which is what I was going off of. Can't review it's cooling because can't even put it in the window.
