What Customers Are Saying
The Pipe Wrap Tape product has mixed results. Some customers found it effective in temporarily stopping minor leaks and sealing pipes, but many others reported it did not work as advertised or failed to create a water-tight seal. The tape seems to work best for small, non-pressurized leaks, but struggles with larger or higher-pressure issues. Several reviewers noted the tape can be difficult to apply, especially around tight spaces, and the plastic film between layers can get in the way. Overall, the product appears to be a hit-or-miss solution, with some customers satisfied but many others disappointed.

It’s not a permanent fix obviously but it’s certainly an amazingly fast and effective short term fix. It’s a pain to deal with wrapping around a pipe and coping with the covering film you have to remove at the same time, but really I think everyone who owns a home with older pipes should have this to deal with unexpected leaks. I’ve tried all sorts of other supposed leak tapes but this is the only one that worked the first time.
Not so easy to work it when water is present.
I think it’s a great product except it won’t stick when water is present like the advertisement says it will. You have to get very creative when using it and the plastic material between the layer gets in the way every way. It’s an okay adhesive except when servicing two layers an itself.
other products easier and better
had a leaky pipe and decided to give this a try as similar products have worked in the past for me. it only needed to last a few hours so I can I've mt daughter a bath and put her to bed before doing a proper repair and all this didn't hold up, despite it coming off as a solid chunk when I cut it to remove it off the pipe later. ither products I've tried as emergency patches were a lot easier to handle and actually lasted. this was a tiny leak so I thought there was no way it wouldn't do the job...
not Miracle Wrap
This product did not work for me. I had a small leak on a threaded CPVC pipe and several tight wraps of this product did not even slow the leak a little bit. I ended up returning it for a refund. Lowes is very good on refunds.

Close but not exactly what I hoped to get
The tape was easy enough to apply once I realized that I needed to cut it into six to eight inch long strips to be able to wrap it effectively. The leak was in a soldered 3/4" elbow. I wrapped the joint about three inches in either direction but couldn't get the leak to stop completely. It slowed to the point that it was almost but not quite at a stopping point. Because I had a fairly thick wrap, I added a hose clamp to the tape and that did the trick.
Not a miracle
The product itself didnt not fix the pen hole leak in a rubber pipe. I had to apply this and then a clamp on top of it to hold enough pressure to stop the leak.
Quick and Easy
I was easy to use.
Handy for a Plumbing Emergency
The wrap adheres and bonds to itself very well. It slowed the leak in a clad flexible waterline for a kitchen faucet but did not seal it completely. I suspect there was some residual moisture interfering with the seal. It did slow the leak well enough for us to continue using the faucet (with a drip pan underneath) until the replacement line arrived.
Hole in pipe
This products work great with stopping leak until plumber came to fix it
