What Customers Are Saying
The product offers strong clamping power and is easy to use, with a ratcheting mechanism that allows for one-handed operation. It is described as well-engineered and durable, suitable for various woodworking and DIY tasks. However, some users have reported issues with the gears stripping or the clamps becoming unusable after relatively short periods of use, even with light to moderate use. The long-term reliability of the product appears to be a concern for some customers.

Surely after purchasing 3 and 1/2 years ago I emailed asking about the warranty and asking for a new one. They said we're on it. Never got it. Recently I was going through my tools and saw it and emailed them again with the picture. Never even responded. Pretty ridiculous considering it's not that expensive of a tool and it's never worked. I'm sure they didn't respond to me for my measly little 8-in gear clamp that doesn't work. The orange lock button has always been stuck down no matter h...

Ratchet clamp
I have only used these a couple of times, but they seem to work very well. They are more sturdy than I expect them to be. I absolutely would purchase them again without hesitation.

Jorgensen-gear clamp
I bought this clamp to try it when I needed to put extra pressure on a glued up item. This clamp out performed any other clamp I had used previously, I have had need to aline two pieces of wood for glueing and screws. this re-alined the pieces with minimal of effort. I liked this clamp so much that I bought three more to be used, I use them almost daily. At some time in the future I would like to purchase clamps like this but only longer. (12"", 24"", 36", 48") as I believe that they will be we...

Bought a set and few months in one of the two seems to slip and pop off at the worst time..was great when they worked and super convenient but went from a great addition to my workflow to a hassle and find myself reaching for a quick clamp instead..seems like the gear material wears out and would be great to be able to buy new pads for the clamps

Works great, once you get the hang of it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not used to using this type of clamp, although I have many other clamps of different types. It's a little hard to not fumble around with this clamp at first, especially for using the clamp vertically. However, once you get the hang of it, it works great, and holds firm. When clamping vertically, the adjustable portion of the clamp must be on top, not on the bottom, or a struggle will ensue trying to keep the adjustable arm from collapsing...

Great Until It's Not
So, I loved these, and I did recommend them to people. Sadly, one-two months of use that I would say is on the low end of heavy and right before I start sawing, one of the clamps comes flying off the guide. Then I couldn't get the thing to stay for the life of me. The gear is stripped. The other identical clamp will still hold, but there is divot forming on each tooth. It wouldn't last much longer if I was still comfortable using it. I am glad I wasn't actively sawing when it decided it wanted t...

Jorgensen clamps are the best, period!
As an 81 year old who still spends time woodworking, I can assure you I've had lots of experience with clamps, beginning with the old-fashioned metal C clamps. I have long bar clamps from Bessey, which I really like, but the Jorgensen long bar clamps are better. Mostly I use Jorgensen E-Z Hold bar clamps in various sizes, and Jorgensen Gear Clamps. I use these in smaller sizes, and the E-Z Hold in larger sizes. Forget all the other brands that tempt you. Buy Jorgensen. You will be happy yo...

easy to use, superb clamping power
I have other clamps like this - ones which you slide up the movable jaw against the workpiece, and then move the handle to activate the clamp. I love these type of clamps because they are so quick and hold so well. No turning the screw handle to tighten it, and as the movable jaw doesn't spin like a screw clamp, things stay in place without moving while you're trying to clamp them together. And besides liking the type of mechanism, the gear ratchet teeth and dog that lock the clamp in place a...

Love these clamps
Bought a set of these clamps with a little uncertainty in mind, but after receiving then and putting them to use in a few projects already I gotta say they're fantastic. The ease of use along with how much clamping pressure you're able to exert is fantastic. Not to mention they're so much easier on my arthritic hands. That in itself is well worth the purchase. It's a true pleasure every time I get to use these clamps. Thank you for such a wonderful tool.

So far, so Amazing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a new type of clamp for me and at first I was a but intimidated by it and not sure where I would use it. After I got a pair of these as a gift, I've used them almost every project since. It takes some getting used to, but I love them as my extra hands and the hold down pressure is a bonus compared to quick clamps or other bar clamps. Super fast clamping and great holding power
