These are bigger/heftier than what I was expecting. They're fantastic!

Good Chisel set, sharpens easily

I really like the size and feel of these chisels. I did have to spend considerable amount of time sharpening them despite the finish, so I did have to grind down part of the finish on the bottom side, which is unfortunate...they did not come perfectly flat from the factory. This is usually expected but I don't know why they would have put a finish on the bottom when manufacturers know this.

Poorly made, dull, and chipped

These are junk. Jorgensen used to be a quality brand, but these might as well be harbor freight. They are "chisel shaped", but that's the sum total of their chiselness. The factory edge is butter knife dull, two of the chisels have chips that will require extensive regrinding, and the "chromium steel alloy" is extremely poor quality with pits in the finish. I literally threw this set in the garbage because it wasn't worth the gas money to return them. I'm a cabinet maker and had to pick up ...

Well suited for a hobby user

I bought this at a discounted price since it was left over stock from the holidays. Overall, the other reviews of this set are fairly accurate. I was disappointed to open the package and discover that there was a chip out of the corner of the blade on the 3/4" size chisel. The other three were ok, though not super sharp. The handles on these are very comfortable and ergonomically designed, and other than the blade defect, they do not seem cheaply made, especially given the reasonable price point...

Looks can be deceiving.

The deal looked to be great. The half price tag and brand name sold me. I liked that they are also marked in metric sizes. I was quite disappointed when I opened the package to see they are not sharpened, and the backs are not honed flat and smooth, something not visible in the package. I have a lot of work ahead of me the prepare these chisels for use.

Needed new been sharping an old set .

Price was great been wanting new set been sharping a old set I picked up at garage sale.

For the price less then $20. For four chisels great for rough work don’t have to worry about Damaging expensive chisel I think they’re great

Not sharp & poor QC

Was really excited to open these up, good , really solid handles and great length. Unfortunately they are of marginal sharpness at best and the 1" has a chip out of the center of the cutting edge. Packaging was undamaged and the edge cover was still on, clearly a QC issue in production. I'll now have to grind in a new edge on them and hope the steel is of a better quality than the QC.

Very average set of Chinese made full tang Chisels

Handles are comfortable and they feel solid overall. They are full tang construction. For the price, I expected them to have been basically sharpened and had the back flattened. The factory edge was poor, just the rough grind from manufacturing and then the black finish applied. I had hoped for better finishing.
