can not use with a water softener
you cannot use this with a water softener a does not get hot enough it continues to turn itself off . This was a total waste of money and Lowe's is never good about taking things back.
hard water unit
it was because I had hard water, so I had to get the unit for that. it's in line. works great. recommend it to anyone, just make sure you ask for the one for hard water if you have hard water.
water Hi conductivity alert
installed as directed at great expense. unit is alerting on "high water conductivity" i dont have much of a solution for that. i hope to return it as it is worthless for heating water. Have not had any luck on technical assistance from anyone on this.
Functioning Flawlessly!!
Our new tankless electric water heater has been installed for a few months now and is functioning flawlessly! We love it and the small amount of space that it takes and the potential savings in our electric bills! It’s the absolutely only alternative for any small house!
Died within 3 months
Ordered this water heater 'shipped to store'. Took a month to come in! So much for two days. Got it installed and within 3 months it has a mechanical lockout that trips when water is turned on. Lowes wont accept a return and the only means to contact the company is via email...no response yet. DO NOT BUY THIS! It's over priced and garbage.
Great to use for Hydronic Heating
We used these for Hydronic heating in our barn in Grand Blanc, Michigan. They're perfect because they heat the water using a direct energy transfer with no element for heating. These units use the conductivity in the water and glycol to heat. That's right, you can use glycol with these units. Great alternative to boilers for hydronic heating. Saves space and more efficient.

If this unit is installed on the hot water feed, will it heat the water between my hot water tank and the tap then stop heating when the feed is hot?
