This bed reached into places were no other bit could. Saved me numerous trips to the outside of the house from inside The guy on the end of the bed was very useful. It was like having a second man helping me to the job

Flex bit works as expected

Although a bit small it does work. Seemed pricey for what it is however it did drill through the floor from wall hole. NEED Flex Bit placement tool which was nowhere to be found. I had to buy this required accessory elsewhere.

Ok, but not great

Works ok, but a couple of things would make it better. First, make it out of metal that is harder and Will stay sharp. After three or four holes in a railroad tie, it was as dill as can be. Second, the entire shaft is round, causing it to slip in the drill motor. The end needs to have three sides, so it can't slip. It got the job done, but it was fairly expensive, wasn't wonderful, and probably isn't any good for another job later.

Great bit, but not one I would recommend

If you are running anything thicker than a boot shoelace through the hole this bit bores, than keep looking. If a boot shoelace is the thickest you will need than this might work for you. Oh, and once it wears out, it is recommended not to sharpen it.

Failed to perform

When I used the bit it drilled through 2 wall studs and on the third it bound in the wood. I tried backing it out and the weld holding the bit onto the shaft failed and the bit remained in the wood. I had to use another bit to drill beside it to get it out so I could return for a refund.

Bad Design

Couldn't get it to drill through a double yellow pine 2x4. The shaft is too thin and not a quality metal. The shaft kept binding and twisting without rotating the drill point. I fear after a few more attempts the shaft would have just snapped in two. Returned it without a problem. Will look into other vendors with a more robust shaft. I did like that it had a small hole cross drilled at the end to attach a pull string to. Ideal, you have always made good quality products; what happened?

Don't buy

I tried to use this 8 times, each time trying to see if I could make it work. First time I used it, it cut 3 cables, because it would bounce around and not drill where the point was started at. This is a piece of junk that as soon as I can return it I will. At $35 it is no better than buy 4 12" extensions with an long spade bit, and you get the same thing. Hey it only cost me $130 dollars in repairs, so what worth the money, sure :)

Long bit, handy for new or remodel jobs

Nice long bit. This bit has a screw tip so it grabs the wood quickly. The hole in the tip allows it to be used to pull a string or the wire back with the bit. Long enough for a receptacle or switch insatallation, but not long enough for a wall mounted light.
