Hunter Universal 2.95-in 3 -Speed 3 -Setting White Plastic Indoor Wall Switch Ceiling Fan Remote with Receiver Included

Looks great, but the Engineering is a fail

This switch looks elegant & functional. Kudos for the styling & layout. But before you buy--- you need to know that, although it draws household power from your wall junction box to deliver power to the ceiling fixture, it REQUIRES BATTERIES to operate the light dimming & fan speeds. Batteries that are only accessible by removing the switch when it comes time to replace them... AND, their battery receptacle is NOT capable of recharging, so you cannot just put NiCad batteries in there. I th...

Not happy

This control came with the fan and I thought it was a wired control but its not but it is it is a 120 volt on off switch the control part takes batteries and is wireless. And it is wall mounted and has to be removed to change the batteries what a joke

Nice looking wall switch with the extra functions

Fits well in standard wall switch box, and looks clean and simple. Installing the receiving can be a tight fit, depending on the type of mounting bracket, but with careful locating of the wires, it slipped into the mounting. bracket. We were a little surprised it also required batteries, in addition to being hard-wired into the circuit. Replacing the batteries will require removing the switch, not something the wire will be doing alone. Other remotes may have worked with our Hunter fan bu...

Ease of use

I love how easy it is to control the fan. Multiple light levels and fan speeds.

Overall satusfied

Love the style but syncing is a problem. Wall mount control constantly loses sync. When changing speed of fan or turning on lights, only one fan will read the command so they are not working together

Remote control does not work reliably

The wall mounted remote did not provide an acceptable operation. I am still working with the manufacture to diagnose the problem. The unit will work sometimes with the control not installed in the wall junction box. When installed in the wall box it will not function. It seems that the wall / box provides too much interference. The wall box is mounted approximately 15 feet from the receiver. Hunter requires pictures of the receiver wiring which will require significant disassembly to remo...

Excellent alternative to portable remotes

This is now the second time I've installed one of these wall controls. They look so much better than the remotes and never have to worry about misplacing them. I appreciate the tactile feel of the controls and happy knowing the build quality feels great.
