Great little freezer

I've only had this freezer a couple of weeks but it's been a lifesaver. It arrived very well packaged and since I couldn't get help to bring it inside I had to leave it outside during the torrential rains. I opened the outer shipping box and put the top hard packing foam underneath and covered it with a tarp. Our yard was flooded but thanks to great packaging the freezer didn't even get wet. Mighty little freezer

I have had this freezer for about one month now and I am thrilled with it. I have a small kitchen and refrigerator; the freezer section is just too small for all my needs. This chest freezer has come to my rescue as it accommodates all the overflow while enabling me to stock up on food items I could not do before. The unit is very quiet and keeps foods frozen solid. It's amazing how much food it holds for only 3.6 c.f. Great price, too!

A worthwhile expenditure.

I have had it long enough to say that it has been a God send. I am no longer limited in purchasing my entrees (roasts, steaks, various fish fillets and other seafood, chicken, pork, etc. I now can store my meat in the Hotpoint and my frozen vegetables in the freezer of the fridge (I do not use canned vegetables [other than tomato based]). I really do like the versatility of my meals now (halibut, catfish, cod, flounder, scallops, shrimp, lobster, chicken (whole and parts [including giblets], ...

Indicator light doesn't work

Two people in our 70's and we needed a small freezer so we happily bought this one. Got it all set up, works great, food is frozen, but the power indicator light doesn't work. Just plugged it in two days ago and it hasn't come on yet. So if it trips a circuit or something, we'll never know and our food could thaw. Not worth taking it back (too hard for us), so I guess we'll just have to live with it. But it's a great size, holds a lot more than we thought.

Great apartment size deep freezer

I ordered this deep freezer in April took several months to receive due to shortage during the pandemic. However, does not make any noise, very little frost. I turned the freezer on and wait the allotted time 2-3 hrs I believe before adding the food. I love that is compact but holds a lot of food. First freezer

This is the first standalone freezer I ever brought. I live by myself so perfect size. Just bought a thermometer yesterday and it’s reading in the perfect freezer range. Now when meat/chicken is on sale, I can buy more! Only problem I had was trying to set the temperature. The “knob” is awkward.

Excellent purchase

I bought this last year, I thought it would be the perfect fit for my need, it turned out to be just want I thought. I am delighted to have waited for it. I purchased during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and had to wait a long time to receive it, but I am glad that I had the patience to wait.

Thick frost buildup on back seal (where hinges are

Bought one of these 6 months ago and the product keeps developing thick frost on the back seal (adjacent to hinges). Apparently GE does not service these so I got a certificate for the price (as long as you buy another GE product. So I bought another and it does the same thing. Hard to believe all these reviews and I don't see this issue mentioned once.

Nice piece of equipment

I bought this a couple months ago and omg so happy. I stuffed it with meat and other things to freeze. I have only been to the store for vegetables and things that don’t keep. I have so much room now to stock up its fabulous and so cold. I thought what I paid for it was completely fair! I would recommend a Hotpoint for sure. They have different sizes to suit your needs!
