Very similar experience my box was opened taped back closed it had instructions but the wire was cut so I have to return it thankfully our contractor had an extra one. Rating the product itself 4 stars

Great product, easy to use.

Well made, easy to use, very handy adapter! Glad it was in stock locally. Could not have installed Aqara thermostat without it. Instructions were easy to follow and seems well made. Great for smart thermostats in older house.

Saved lots of time and prevented running new wire

My home has two zones and while the C-Wire was present, it was never connected. I thought connecting it would resolve the issue when installing new Wi-Fi thermostats requiring a C-Wire. Adapts a 4 wire to 6 wire thermostat easily.

I wanted an advanced thermostat that would automatically follow a schedule and follow the period set temperatures. The Honeywell thermostat I selected to do this required a dedicated 'C' or 24V input as its power supply. However my furnace wire was only 4 wire and there wasn't a 'C" wire. The Power adapter uses electronics to create a dedicated 'C" and by wiring the 'Adapter' to the furnace and the the thermostat wire to the adapter and thus to the thermostat itself all woks well. C wire kit works!

Unit is made in a manner that makes it super simple to use with new or old hvac systems. Reading the manual is usually not only a good idea but for mist kits mandatory but, for this one it was totally unnecessary. I would totally recommend this kit for integrating new modern thermostats with older systems!

Most good A/C Technician say you don't need this item if you have a 5th wire stored in your thermostat harness..

C-Wire Adapter

I have not used it yet, but I was told it might be needed to upgrade our current thermostat which is much older. From what I have heard this is a great product and easy to use.

A Lowe’s Associate recommended this product when i explained that we couldn’t have a smart wifi thermostat installed because we do not have 5-wires. He said this adapter allows you to install a smart wifi thermometer if you do not have the required wires. He was correct.

Easy to hookup and works good.

Easy to hook up and works as it is supposed to. Was kind of hard to find, had to drive an hour to find one in stock at a Lowes.
