Carriage bolts are designed to fasten a wooden face to either wood or metal

Used these extra long ones to secure a removeable fence section to the fixed fencing. Each carriage bolt stuck out the front so I can slide it on and secure it with nuts. So far, they're holding real well into the post I set them into, and the threads are still clean months later. Great product.
