How I didn't know about this kettle before now! This is like a Thermos. The water stays hot for longer than normal kettles and the surface doesn't get hot so even if you touch it accidentally, you won't burn yourself. Highly recommended to own one.

Out of the box it looks great, lid spring feels solid, brought 16oz of 65° water to 200° in two minutes with a very nice looking digital display. It even keeps it warm. Huge upgrade from the old one.

Only (1) year warranty in the U.S., but works fine
Lowes shows (5) year warranty on website but found out once I got the kettle and read the Warranty that the U.S. only has a (1) year warranty; Canada has the (5) year warranty. Also, altitude does effect temperature setting for Black Tea/Boil. Display never gets to 212°F, only 202°F for the altitude I'm at. Once you remove kettle from base the kettle will turn off. So, to keep the desired temperature you'll have to press Start every time you remove kettle from base. Overall kettle does look...
